The Three Lakes Route – your journey through the heart of the Alps
Set off on the dreamy Three Lakes Route, an easy hike with only 124 meters of elevation gain and a total length of 7.6 km. It is also known as the “Path of the Senses” and leads you to three spectacular mountain lakes that reflect the unmistakable beauty of the Turracher Höhe. This route is ideal for families and awakens the enthusiasm for hiking in young and old. Along the way, cozy alpine huts invite you to take a well-deserved break. The three lakes include Lake Turracher, which, with its size of 18.3 hectares and a depth of 33 meters, forms the heart of the holiday resort. The picturesque Schwarzsee, surrounded by high moors and prehistoric dwarf birches, and the Grünsee, surrounded by larches and pine trees, offer incomparable natural spectacles.

In early summer, the butler changes from his ski suit to his hiking outfit and, from June onwards, takes his guests on special tours that are filled with magical views and unforgettable experiences. The Kornockbahn takes you to the start of the natural Kornock Flowtrail, which stands out in Carinthia and Styria due to its unique construction. Experience the new pump track on the Turracher Höhe, which is located right next to the Kornockbahn. Here the kids can playfully immerse themselves in the world of biking on two different trails and gain their first experiences with balance bikes or bikes. High bridge via ferrata
At the entrance to the Turrach Valley is the “Hohe Steg”, a small but impressive gorge created by meltwater masses 12,000 years ago. The “Hohe Steg” is overcome with the help of a wooden footbridge and is a natural monument. This has an interesting via ferrata (climbing length approx. 250 meters) that makes the best possible use of the rocks. Two rope bridges and a ladder form the main attraction for ferratists and the Turrach stream below invites you to cool off in summer.

The roller coaster of the Alps
With a length of 1.6 kilometers, three roundabouts, two jumps, 15 waves, a bridge and a considerable gradient, the summer toboggan run, which even runs in winter, is one of the most beautiful facilities of its kind in Europe. The maximum speed is 40 km/h. The braking system meets the highest safety regulations. On the Turracher Höhe the railway has developed into a real attraction. From the age of three, children can toboggan with their parents. Children who are at least 1.25 meters tall and 8 years old can also complete the route solo.
